The Chamwell Centre
Transforming the lives of disabled children and adults across Gloucestershire
The Chamwell Centre will be a much needed and groundbreaking new facility built in the grounds of The Milestone Special School in Gloucester that supports disabled children and adults across the county.
The main feature of the centre is a new hydrotherapy pool (replacing the aged pool currently being used in school). Other facilities include rebound therapy, soft play, interactive climbing wall and Community Café. There is also a Changing Places facility, a very much needed resource here in Gloucestershire.

Funding from The Pied Piper Appeal to the Chamwell Centre Charity has resulted in a fantastic new playground. The children are all thoroughly enjoying this new play area with wheelchair accessible tunnel, bridge, bamboo sensory area and path through the trees. There is also a chill-out pit, performing stage, a mud pit and rills for sensory play and OPAL lessons. Lots of fun for all to enjoy!
Please visit the Chamwell Centre Charity website or Facebook/Twitter to find out more about the exciting plans ahead. Fundraising now continues in earnest, to raise the £230,000 per year needed to keep the centre running.
