******Over £7,300 was raised******

This year's Milefest was bigger and better than ever.  The Friday night event is taking off with higher numbers this year and the Saturday event was sold out.  The weather was very kind to us even though it turned rather chilly on Friday evening.  The sofas around the site and supply of blankets were very much welcomed by some people.

The mud tent did a roaring trade - it's amazing how covered in mud one person can get.  The robot tent was stripped of cardboard in a very short space of time - there were some weird and wonderful robots wandering around the site most of the day.  The story tent was amazing - beautifully decorated to reflect the story 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory' even smelled of chocolate.

People working in the beer tent were kept very busy as was the tea garden.  Then there was the music! What a brilliant line-up this year as always. Thank you so much to Rebecca and Dave Hill for organising Milefest to raise funds for the school.

Captain Pilchard's Great Pirate Adventure

We had an amazing pirate week at school.  Captain Pilchard and his crew entertained our children with all sorts of adventures on the high seas. At the end of the week all our children gathered together for some final fun and frolics and Captain Pilchard arranged for every child to have a party bag to take home.

We would like to thank Marks and Spencer, Head Office for donating the party bags, Chris Evans at the Butterfly garden for the Captain's wheel and the cannons and everyone else who helped in any way - you know who you are!

Huge thanks to Captain Pilchard (Phil Collins) and his crew for giving us such a fabulous week.  We know that several weeks of planning and hard work to set up the marquee took place before the event.  Many of the crew gave up their time to bring this together and we do really appreciate it.  Our children had a wonderful time.

Friends Meetings
